Thanks to all the doctors, staff, assistants, for their kindness shown to Don and I when we had to put down our beloved Welsh Corgi, Carly, July 2009. Five years ago, almost to the date, I had to put down Tony Pruitt (the fiesty one), mixed dachshund/Shelter.
I still miss them and cry for them! But guess what? My 90 year old mother, who lives in Ohio, had to go into a nursing home. Don and I have rescued her two “angels”, a 5 year old yellow lab named Heidi and Kitsie, the cat, around 11 years old! They were shelter animals from Ohio. So, we will be contacting you guys soon. Thanks for everything! Marylou and Don Pruitt”

Gaithersburg Animal Hospital has been our family caregiver for over 15 years, caring for those who are with us now (Rachel, a rescue C. Spaniel and Bernadette, an 8 week old kitten found at the side of the road)as well as those who made it up the stairway to heaven, including our two C. Spaniels, Jackie and Dutch (both pound rescues), Ashes (a family feline member for @14 years)and Norman (a family Schnauzer). When you bring your furry family member to the staff at the animal hospital, you feel like your pet is the most important and special friend they have ever met!
From the Receptionists, to the Groomers, Nurses and Vets, each one will leave you in the best hands, full of information and feeling like you have the most special (furry) friend in the whole world. This is not to mention the talent of highly skilled doctors you can come to know. When we leave after our visits, we feel loved and cared for and equipped with the best care you can find.

We came to Gaithersburg Animal Hospital based on a recommendation of another satisfied customer. We were not looking to replace our former vet but wanted a place closer to our home. From the moment we arrived, I knew we were in a great place! The office staff is kind, understanding, and so helpful. I think Riley has seen all the doctors who have been so wonderful with our little guy and tolerant of this anxious doggie mama! I was so impressed with the follow-up phone calls to check on Riley after sick doggie appointments.
It tells me they appreciate how important this member of our family is to us! Thanks to Dr. Mike, Dr. Lynn who have helped Riley through some icky moments and with his heart condition there will be more to come but I know Riley (and all the family) will be in highly capable and compassionate hands!!

Our precious Grady lost his gallant battle with osteosarcoma, and was taken out of pain and into forever sleep on January 2. Grady was in his own living room surrounded by his family, his Doctor Dan and Katie, who shared our heartbreak. We appreciate the loving care given Grady over the 11 and ½ years of his life, and especially the sensitivity communicated by the staff. Thanks to each and every one of you great folks.
Dr’s Mike and Dan have tended to our Golden Retriever sons, Judson, Grady and now Eli, since April 7, 1997. Most recently, on October 29, 2008, the good doctors sensitively guided us through the amputation of 11-year old Grady’s right front leg, due to osteosarcosis. Grady’s pain, which had become intolerable, is gone and, as of early December, he is once again a happy boy so that Grady, his folks, and his brother, Eli, are living an especially thankful holiday season. Thank you for the excellent care, and Happy Holidays to the entire staff. Robert, Lucy, Grady & Eli

Gaithersburg Animal Hospital has been caring for our family pets for over 20 years. We trust them implicitly and recommend them to everyone we know. I don’t know what I would have done without Dr. Mike through the 14 1/2 years of my beagle Petey’s life- he had sound advice and always showed Petey compassion.
We had to let him go on May 1 of this year and Dr. Mike was right there with us, to guide us through, painlessly, comfortably, and lovingly. Petey will forever be in our hearts and I truly believe that he lived a wonderful 14 1/2 years because of the awesome care he got at Gaithersburg Animal Hospital. Even though we had moved to Frederick, we still made the trip to Gaithersburg, I would never have trusted a different doctor/staff with my Petey. If you are reading these testimonials because you are looking for a vet, you’ve found them. Don’t bother to look any further. Thank you Dr. Mike and your great staff for making Petey’s life so good.
